I haven't done one of these in a while.

Writing for September was mostly on the new book. I wrote just over 44,000 words on the novel, giving me a total of just over 87,000 words on it. I finally got to the crucial point in the book that seemed so hard to get to. Weird to have it in the last third of the book, but that's just how things have been going. So the build-up has been a bit slow but there has been a little bit of action up to this point. I'm guessing I will have to cut quite a bit of the book, although I still want to make it as long as the prequel if I can.

My average on the book per day was roughly 1400 words, 500 more than August, which is pretty good going.

I did manage to update a couple of fanfics and write a oneshot in another series (Nightwing Chronicles). I'm hoping once I've finished the first draft of the novel to take a break and maybe finish one or two fanfics.

In other news, I applied for a part-time job. Part-time isn't ideal but at the moment it's pretty much all that is going. I did apply for a full-time position which closed on Thursday but I haven't heard anything about that.

I'm still waiting on the royalty cheque from Amazon. According to the message I got from the helpdesk, it was supposed to have been sent out around the first of the month, but it still hasn't arrived. You can't tell me it takes five weeks for one little cheque to be sent from the US to NZ.

It seems kind of stupid to be sending out a cheque, especially internationally. I mean, we have Swift Codes so I don't see what the problem is with doing a direct deposit. They do it for the US and in England. It's not like we're a third-word country for crying out loud. I don't mean to complain but come on. I need the money!
