Justin's new show

I only have one word for the new show: Stunning.

Okay, more than one word. I have to say when Justin first appeared on Smallville, I wasn't prepared to like the character. I knew very little about Oliver Queen/Green Arrow so I had little to go on. There were some things about the character that I definitely did not like, but after I explored Oliver through a particular fanfic series, I began to like him. Comic book acting isn't like 'reality-based' acting in my view, although I don't know which is tougher - having to utter lines and act scenes that would be totally ridiculous in real life and make them believable, or act in a role that is pretty much a representation of real life.

Now that I've seen Justin in something that isn't Smallville/comic based, I can safely say I really like him as an actor. The new show: This Is Us, really plays on his pretty boy image, but he's not a caricature in this show. He's just a regular guy who happens to be an actor.

I won't say what happens as I don't want to spoil it for anyone who hasn't seen the show, but yeah, he's good. So is the actress who plays his twin. In the midst of all these so-called 'reality' shows which are complete rubbish is a drama that really is about real life problems and from what I've seen so far, the writers and actors are doing a fantastic job portraying that. It's what makes it so relatable in my view.

Ditto everything you said. Smallville, whilst an entertaining show, had its characters utter some dialogue that was, quite often, utterly shocking in its horrendousness.

I've only seen trailers for This Is Us, but my goodness, it's something I'm desperate for them to start airing in the UK because it looks so compelling and has already drawn me in. The fact that JH is one of the leads only makes it more appealing, but that aside, the review have been stellar thus far.

Let's hope they can build on this fantastic start and do the story justice all the way through to its conclusion. :-)

Oh, me too. For once, our PTBs over here decided to run it the same time as in the States so I can watch it OnDemand.
