Just a flyby ...reprise, lol

This time last year I was getting so nervous as I had just under a month to go until my trip to the US. I can't believe it's been a year since I was there. That trip was awesome! I still have plans to go back, and spend a lot more time there. There are a few more people I'd like to visit, even if it's just to give them hugs. Like a certain lady in Washington, another in Kentucky - aw hell, why don't we all just meet in the middle somewhere? Works for me! So that's my plan for the next couple of years. Save like crazy for the return trip.

It's been a couple of weeks since my novel was published and I know it's early, but yeah, I think I'm worried more that people will hate it. Let's just say that I hope my grandmother was right. I hate to be negative, but if it turns out she was wrong, well, I don't know what I'm going to do. I just know that without the writing I won't have anything left. Sorry, I'm still on tenterhooks about it.

Anyway, I'm in the process of creating my own website and I will have that up by the weekend, hopefully. I'll post the site address as soon as it's live.

At the moment, well not right at this moment, haha, I'm working on a Clois adaptation of a movie. I do love my movie adaptations and this just worked for me. I promise I'll have the first chapter up very soon. I wanted to at least get an idea of how many parts there will be before I post.

We have Easter weekend coming up (one day to go to the weekend, thank goodness), so I hope to get lots of writing done. It's supposed to be a crappy weekend weather wise (yeah, so much for getting laundry done this weekend, stupid Auckland weather, grrr!)

Anyway, I've promised my co-conspirator I would try to get ahead on the Illuminati story. I have part one of the next episode done so I need to finish that episode so we can finally get to the heart of the story. All I'll say is that for those who hoped something wouldn't happen ... ahhh, no, you'll just have to read it.

:D I'd love to have you visit! Or to go to NZ and visit you, for that matter but that's not likely in the next 3-5 years. *sighs*

*big hug* It takes a while for a book to take off. It really, really does. Like... several years. Best thing to do is to just sit down and write the next book and not fuss over how this one is going. Though I have bought it. Just have to finish what I'm currently reading and then I'll get started on that. *grin*

Cool on the website! I'll be looking for it when it comes out. And good luck on the writing and work. And laundry! *laughs*

*all the hugs*

I guess it's just the anxiety of waiting for that first review. There's this lady at work who has promised to buy the book and 'critique' it and that makes me really nervous. My aunt said she'll buy it too which makes me even more nervous.

Okay, that is nervous making. I've stopped looking to see if anyone reviewed my stuff, just because it does make me so nervous. And yes to family members reading being anxiety causing! My mom's read some of my stories (one particular series) and that was... something. She liked them, focused more on spelling and grammar checks than content, but at least she liked them. *wry smile* I don't ask her what she's read lately just to save my sanity.

Personally, what I like is when someone I don't know at all reads and reviews positively. Like... a total stranger with no prior experience with me like the story! 8D Happened a couple of times now and its just the coolest thing. XD
