Sharp Steele - almost published

I just uploaded the files to Amazon, Kindle, Kobo and Smashwords for the new book. I'll post the links when it's all confirmed.

It's not as long as the other books, although still novel length at about 60K. So I decided to price it lower than the rest. E-book will be $4.99 US and softcover will be $12.50 US (Amazon suggested the minimum to be about a dollar less than that). The royalties are gonna suck, especially the expanded distribution ones but I don't have much choice.

I'm not going to publish it locally. I'm really pissed at the company I asked to do the other three. They refused to send me an itemised account, then told me it's $150 to prepare the files, upload them to their website and do a small print run. What absolute bullshit!

Anyway, I am already working on my next project. Years ago I wrote this story designed for children about a bear that is magic and protects children from 'monsters'. A friend is going to help me edit it down and make it age appropriate and maybe help me figure out how to illustrate it. So yay me, doing a children's book.

Congratulations on Sharp Steel! Crossing my fingers that it does really well.

Must be really exciting to get started on a children's book! Let us know how it goes. :-)

Thanks Dee. Yeah, the children's book is a bit different but I love the story.
