Part Eighteen

Lois was having a wonderful dream. She’d just made mad passionate love to Kal and was sleeping with him in his luxurious bed. As she slowly came awake, feeling his hand laying possessively on her breast, she realised it hadn’t been a dream. She really was here with him in his bed and they’d made love. She had a fleeting vision of him taking her from behind up against his leather couch and she shivered, remembering.

Kal’s hand moved on her breast, his thumb brushing her nipple, which immediately sprang into awareness. They’d made love twice in this bed and she wanted more. She wriggled against him, feeling the surge of heat through her body as her backside came up against what was unmistakably an erection.

Kal’s hand tightened a little on her breast and he moved against her, his head tilting down to suck on the skin of her throat.

“Kal,” she breathed.

“Mm, Lois,” he said against her, continuing to kiss her throat while massaging her breast.

She wanted to turn around and kiss him, but she didn’t want him to stop what he was doing either. But then Kal was rolling her half onto her back, his mouth closing on her breast and she felt the shock right down to her aching inner core as his teeth deliberately brushed her nipple.

She lay half sprawled on the bed as he continued to worry at the nipple, her head flung back against the pillows.

“Kal, god,” she moaned.

His hand moved down over her thigh, then in between and his finger brushed her curls, sending a mild tremor through her. He was gentle as he sought entry, the finger just barely touching her aching walls. She wanted more, pushing against him. He lifted his head, tsking at her, before kissing her, their tongues duelling for a moment.

“Please,” she said when he let her go.

“Please what?” he asked softly.

“Kal,” she growled. If he was going to keep teasing her like this, she was going to have to do something about it. So she did, her hand reaching back and down to grasp his hard cock. “Let’s see how you like it,” she said, holding him in a firm grip.

“You really think you can take me?” he said.

“Even superheroes have a weakness,” she grinned slyly.

“And what’s mine?” he said softly, lust glazing his eyes, making his pupils huge.

Lois let him go, then managed to turn over, pushing him down onto his back. She straddled him, moving down so she sat on his thighs, a wicked gleam in her eye.

“Me,” she told him.

Leaning down, she let her long hair brush his thighs as she again took his cock in a firm grip. She blew gently, loving the strangled moan he gave in return. Pre-cum was leaking from the tip and she licked her lips. Kal stared up at her, his expression one of impatience. But Lois was determined to have her turn to tease him.

Flicking out her tongue, she sampled just a little taste. He bucked in her hand. Spurred on by his reaction, she moved in for the kill, licking around the head, pulling back on the foreskin to expose more of the sensitive area. She could tell Kal was fighting the urge to bury his fingers in her hair, force her head down. His hands were bunching into fists, grasping the sheets.

Still taking her time, Lois licked the length of his shaft, ignoring his cursing. The head of his cock was almost purple with the amount of blood that had gathered there, and she knew he was about to lose it, but she kept going, mapping it out with her tongue.

“Lois, god.”

The only drawback to her teasing was the fact that she wanted him just as badly as he wanted her – whatever it entailed and she found herself panting, barely able to control her own desire. And it seemed he knew it too.

He clearly couldn’t hold back and he proved it to her, sitting up and grabbing her by the waist.

“I think you’ve had enough fun, missy,” he told her.

No such thing, she wanted to tell him, but then he’d plopped her down on his erection, impaling her and it felt so good that she cried out.

She ground down on him, moving up and down in a fast rhythm. Kal took up the same rhythm, thrusting his hips up, harder and harder until he hit her g-spot over and over and she became dizzy and breathless with the intensity of it.

“Come for me Lois,” she heard him whisper. And it seemed as if he was talking to her from light years away. Her ears were ringing and it almost felt like she was floating as she drifted away into blissful oblivion.

It took a little while before she came back to awareness to find herself lying on her back with Kal tenderly stroking her forehead.

“You passed out on me,” he said, with a smirk reminiscent of his brother’s. “Was it good for you?”

Lois groaned, lifting her hand to playfully slap his arm but he grabbed her hand and kissed it, his mouth moving slowly down her arm until he finally made it to her neck. Lois giggled as his stubble tickled her skin.

He lifted his head and smiled down at her. She ran a finger along the stubble.

“How do you shave?” she asked. “I mean, since you have superpowers, and you know, no blade can actually cut you.”

“Good question,” he said. “When I first started puberty, it was one of the things that we had to think about. So Lex came up with the idea of using just a tiny sliver of Kryptonite in a razor. Not enough to make me sick, but enough to be able to shave. The same with cutting my hair too.”

“Can that stuff really kill you?” she asked, a worried frown crossing her face. They’d already talked about what the green meteor rock could do. And he’d told her about his first time with Red K. That had been an experience that he wouldn’t willingly repeat, now that he was grown up and over the teenage angst.

“I guess so, if there’s enough of it. Lex and I have been working with it for years, ever since we knew what it could do, so that we could come up with a way for me to be immune ... or maybe not immune, just less sensitive to it.”

“I don’t like the idea of that stuff being near you,” she said. “The thought that anything could hurt you.”

“You don’t need to protect me, Lois.”

“Because Superman protects all of us,” she said. “But that’s hardly fair. Why should you have to bear the burden? It’s only right that we should protect you too.”

“When you say we ...”

“I mean, uh, your ... your family,” she stammered. “That’s what family does.”

She was blushing and Kal wondered if she was worried that she wasn’t part of that ‘family’.

“You are family to me, Lois,” he said, stroking the hair back from her face. “I love you. One day I hope to make it official. I’d even shout it from the rooftops.”

“You would?” she said hopefully, her eyes shining.

“Or take out a full-page ad in the Daily Planet,” he said. “I mean, I am the publisher. I can pretty much do whatever I want.”

Lois frowned at him and shook her head. “You are so bad, Kal.”

“Ahh, you love me.”

The sun was streaming through the French doors leading to the balcony when they woke. Lois rolled over onto her side and looked at him through long lashes. He looked a lot younger when he was asleep. With the stubble growth, his face took on an almost rakish look. Certainly not the well-groomed Kal she was used to seeing at the office.

He opened his eyes and reached for her, kissing her softly.

“Good morning,” he said.

She grinned at him. “’Morning,” she returned, stretching languorously.

He pulled her into his arms, kissing her again. Lois sighed happily. She could do this all day, if it wasn’t for the way her stomach was rumbling. Kal buried his nose in her hair and kissed behind her ear.

Lois had to resist him. As much as she would to stay there with him, they had work to do, and the charity ball that night.

“Kal,” she said as he held her tight. “We have to get up.”

“Don’t wanna,” he mumbled in her hair.

“Are you pouting? You’re pouting,” she said, fighting back a laugh.

“Let’s just stay in bed and make love,” he suggested.

Lois shook her head, rolling her eyes. “You know, unlike certain aliens, other people need food if they’re going to make it through the day. Especially if aforementioned alien plans on keeping them tied to this bed.”

Kal looked up at her, lust in his eyes.

“Now there’s an idea,” he said, leering.

Lois pushed him away. “Don’t you dare, Luthor! Food! Now! Or I swear I will not be responsible for the consequences.”

Grumbling, Kal got out of bed, giving Lois a full frontal view of his naked body. He had no shame, obviously. He smirked at her, seeing her gaze on him.

“Any preferences?” he asked.

Lois thought for a second. “Mm, buttermilk pancakes. With maple syrup. Lots of maple syrup.”

Kal was muttering something under his breath about demanding girlfriends.

“Keep that up, Luthor and you’ll be sorry,” she said in a singsong voice.

Still muttering under his breath, Kal disappeared. Lois got up, debating whether to shower first. She liked long showers – and they usually tended to be marathon showers, but her hunger won out and she knew Kal would be back before long.

There was a robe draped on the chair, and she realised Kal must have put it there for her. She picked it up, pressing the soft cloth to her face, breathing in his scent. There was just the hint of musk and the rich spice of his aftershave. God, she loved his smell.

Wandering out of the bedroom, Lois followed the hallway and found herself in the living room. It appeared someone had been in and cleaned up as her clothes were neatly folded, sitting on a chair. She wondered if it was Kal’s housekeeper. If he had one. Unless he used Lex’s from time to time, since most of the time he ate out. She snickered at the thought that Kal was an even worse cook than she was.

She heard the door open and turned, smiling as Kal came in, carrying bags of what looked like containers of food from a local restaurant.

“Buttermilk pancakes and maple syrup, madameoiselle,” he grinned.

Lois sat at the table as he set out plates and cutlery.

“I’m surprised you actually have plates,” she chuckled, watching.

“I do have guests over from time to time,” he said. “I don’t always dine in fancy restaurants.”

He sniffed as if he was offended by the implication and she sat in his lap as soon as he’d sat down.

“Poor baby,” she said soothingly. “I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to ...”

“Mrs Kennedy’s always telling me off for it,” he grinned sheepishly. “She swears I have no idea what a kitchen is for.”

“Mm, but at least you try,” Lois said.

“I thought you didn’t cook because you didn’t like it.”

“No, no, just a complete lack of talent,” Lois laughed. “My life gets so busy with work I just can’t find the time to devote to it.”

Kal pulled her close. “Lois Lane, workaholic.”

“Yeah, who’d have thought,” she laughed. “Chloe used to laugh at me because I spent so much time trying to get out of school she would say that if I’d devoted as much time to my studies as much as I devoted to getting out of them, I would have been top of the class. I never thought I would love reporting so much though.”

Kal poured maple syrup on the pancakes until she told him it was enough, then speared a piece with a fork. Lois took the bite he offered.

“What is it about reporting that you love so much?”

“Well, it’s like I said. I’m out there making a difference. I mean, maybe it’s not earth-shattering, and you know, it’s not going to dramatically change the world, but, I don’t know, I like standing up for what’s right, you know?” She looked at him as he speared another piece and ate it. “What about you? You said you got into it because you wanted to know why things happened. Was that true?”

“I got into it at Excelsior,” he said. “I mean, when my Mom died, I had an awful lot of questions that the docs wouldn’t answer. Lex says I was a precocious little brat and I was always asking why. Dad encouraged it. But there was an incident at Excelsior that sort of pushed me a bit.”

“What happened?”

“Well, remember how I told you I tried drugs and alcohol?” She nodded. “One of the kids there – he was younger than me, and he kept getting bullied. And here I was, arrogant little shit that I was, and I didn’t stand up for him. When I should have done. I was taller than kids my age, and taller than a lot of others older than me. Anyway, this kid was like an outcast and he decided the only way around it was to give in to all the peer pressure.

“We were at this party one night and the kid had let himself be dragged to it, by one of the bullies. And we could all see he didn’t really want to be there. But he was forced to do a line of coke and we were all laughing at him because he was acting so weird. And then he just collapsed. He started having these convulsions and I was the only one who knew what to do. Well, everyone else was high as a kite, and since it didn’t affect me ...”

Kal looked so full of remorse that all Lois could do was hold him as he lost himself in the memories.

“What happened to him?” she asked softly.

“He died. It turned out he had a heart condition. And it killed him. I lied to the police and told them I hadn’t been doing any drugs. That I’d been dragged there as well. And, you know, who wouldn’t believe Lionel Luthor’s perfect son, right? Who’d never been caught doing drugs, or drinking. And I swore when that happened that I was never going to let what happened to that kid happen to anyone else. Anyway, I wrote an editorial on peer pressure and bullying and it got published.”

“So when you said it stopped being fun ... that was why? I’m so sorry.”

He shrugged. “It woke me up to the way I was acting. Like I could do anything and nothing could touch me,” he said. “I really was an arrogant little shit. From then on I just kept my head down and focused on my studies. Stayed out of trouble.”

Lois held him, knowing what the confession had cost him. He pulled her close, burying his nose in her hair and sighed softly.
